The Divine Mother’s love soars in us all

I dedicate this journal to my dear mum – thank you for all that you are and all you give.

In thinking about Mother’s Day and honouring divine feminine qualities like unconditional love, nurturance, intuition and creative power, a deep love rises and fills me with gratitude and respect.

These energies are so needed in our world to bring us into more unity, whether in our daily lives as mothers or in how we all flow the Divine Mother’s love to nurture self, others and life itself.

Women are natural leaders in these ways, and it is great time to be alive as we see increasing respect for such qualities.

This is the era of the feminine rising back into unity with her beloved counterpart, the masculine. They are one and can never be separated but it’s felt like they have been for us as humans.

Can you feel the rising sense of this? Even contemplating what the mother energy means feels fuller than ever before.

There is vast power in the gentle feminine expressions of love within all of us, especially women. The divine father’s qualities – like structure, discipline, being a firm teacher - are equally wonderful and also flow through a mother’s love, and vice versa.

Fly like an eagle

An adorable example of a mother expressing firm love is a mother eagle pushing her eaglets out of the nest so they can enjoy the experience of soaring through life in their full selves. Her push is an expression of love, even though it might be hard for her to go against the protective drive to lovingly harbour them.

I’m thinking of my mum’s standout qualities right across the mother’s love spectrum, especially her selflessness and ability to create a nurturing and abundant material world for us, while also showing me the importance of firm love and resilience.

With five children under the age of seven at one point, it couldn’t have been easy. Yet she always made us feel loved, protected and supported and we wanted for nothing, even though there were tough times. She always played 50s and 60s music in the house and car keeping the vibe light and fun, and her hugs always made me feel safe – and still do!

Wishing you a joyful Mother’s Day in honour of the Divine Mother and her expression in all of us.
